From Monday 17th February we will operate from our new office located 2a and 2b Colima Avenue, Sunderland Enterprise Park, SR5 3XB. We look forward to welcoming you there.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility. It’s an ethos that runs throughout our business, a commitment to the communities in which we live and work.

Communities are built on a foundation of support and active participation from businesses striving to make life better and give back where they can. CSR isn’t just a part of what we do – it’s at the core of who we are.

Supporting our local community

We believe in giving back to our community, providing legal advice to those who need it and consistently supporting charities that are not only local but close to our hearts.

We’ve supported local charities including the Great North Air Ambulance, Cash for Kids (through Bellway Homes), and the Red Sky Foundation. Our involvement doesn’t stop at financial contributions – our team actively participates in events, sporting activities and provides pro bono legal advice.

Most recently, we contributed to the Red Sky Foundation purchasing a defibrillator in partnership with Stephen Hope Wealth which will be installed on Frederick Street in Sunderland.

Reducing our environmental footprint

We proactively look to reduce our carbon footprint and preserve the planet for future generations by implementing new procedures and processes.

When it comes to our environmental impact, we:

  • Only print when necessary and then print on both sides to reduce paper usage.
  • Have installed a water cooler in the office to reduce the amount of single-use plastics.
  • Have LED bulbs installed and are phasing out non-efficient lighting.

Going the extra mile

Lee Gilder, Director and Head of Residential and Commercial Property recently completed the Sunderland half marathon to support the Red Sky Foundation, and he’s gearing up for the Great North Run in September 2024.

But it is not just Lee; many members of our team take part in sporting events to raise money for various charities.

A team effort

Our team attended the BASC Young Shots Day, where our team took part in clay pigeon shooting to raise money for Barnardo’s, helping to support children and families in need.

Solicitor Danyal Hussain is a trustee of Washington MIND charity. We have also supported MIND with their CEO sleepout. Lee Gilder serves as a trustee for Age UK North Tyneside. In addition to his role, our team has dedicated time to providing pro-bono legal work for the organisation as a way of giving back to the community and supporting the invaluable work Age UK does for the elderly in our area.
