Danyal Hussain after qualifying as a solicitor

Danyal completed his A Levels at Stockton Sixth Form College before starting his LLB Law Degree at the University of Sunderland in 2014. Danyal successfully completed his Law Degree with a 2:1 in the summer of 2017. Later that year he started the Legal Practice Course (LPC) together with a Masters in Law also at the University of Sunderland. He graduated with a Merit in November 2018.

Danyal then worked at an award-winning Scottish Law Firm based at their Newcastle office for approximately 2 years as a Paralegal. During his time there he dealt with a wide range of matters including volume remortgaging transactions and then moving on to volume debt recovery transactions on behalf of lender clients. Danyal then worked at a Law Firm in Newcastle initially starting as a Paralegal and later began his Training Contract.

Danyal then moved to Cooklaw Solicitors in Sunderland during the summer of 2022 transferring and continuing his Training Contract at the firm. Danyal predominantly worked in the Property Department working on a whole range of matters including Sales, Purchases and Remortgage transactions. To further his learning and development Danyal also worked within the firms Private Client Department assisting with the drafting of Wills and Lasting Power’s of Attorneys.

While at the firm Danyal successfully completed the Professional Skills Course at Northumbria University. Danyal was also seconded to another local Solicitors practice to work in their Dispute Resolution Department furthering his knowledge and skills in this contentious area of Law.

Danyal qualified in November 2023 and has accepted the position of Solicitor within the firm. Danyal will continue to work in the Property Department working on both Residential and Commercial transactions assisting clients with their needs.

We as a firm believe it is important for time and effort to be spent on training and developing staff members to further their knowledge and skillset. This is not only beneficial for the firm and the individual but also for the legal industry as a whole. Danyal is a prime example of this having graduated from the University of Sunderland and is now back working in the City.
